Overview

This ASPEC® system provides ultimate workflow automation of small- to large-volume solid phase extraction (SPE) applications by combining flexible positive pressure SPE, precise liquid handling, large bed capacity, and on-line integration with liquid chromatography (LC) systems. With a single probe, this system is ideal for lower-throughput applications and is highly flexible allowing you to automate other sample preparation techniques such as liquid-liquid extraction (LLE). Combined with ASPEC SPE Cartridges, it generates reproducible and efficient sample cleanup for environmental research labs.

Positive Pressure for Reproducible Extractions

Positive pressure extraction with unique sealing cap design increases reproducibility from sample to sample. The syringe pump delivers accurate volume dispensing and full control of sorbent drying.

Smart Design for Maximized Performance

Able to process small volume samples, up to 144 unattended, and large volume samples (up to 2 liters) via the Valvemate selection valves. The mobile racks accommodate 1, 3, and 6 mL SPE polypropylene and glass cartridges and enable multiple fraction elutions per sample. The syringe pump manages volumes from 1 mL to 10 mL with high accuracy and precision, allowing the transfer of eluted fractions in sealed injection vials or directly in the LC system with the optional GX direct injection module.

Intuitive Error Handling for Trusted Results

The syringe pump pressure-sensing module provides error handling for high cartridge pressure or clogged liquid lines and monitors pressure on each fluid path individually. Optional jet wash rinse stations minimize carryover and cross contamination.

Versatile Software Control for Optimized Productivity

TRILUTION® Software enables liquid handling and SPE applications on the same ASPEC system. Optimize throughput and efficiency by processing samples in either batch or sequential mode. Multiple fraction elution allows you to automate and optimize method development.
